I bought these for my 3 year old who is in a size 9 right now and these are way too big on him. Even with thick socks. But we love converse and this isn't his first pair. They do run about a size too large but I knew that and was anticipating him growing into them. The brand is perfect for a rough and tumble little boy! We got the elastic laces for them too so they're easy to slip on and off (even when he grows into them the rest of the way) which makes them even better!

These are far more comfortable then typical canvas sneakers, but they offer a similar casual look. The sizing is very accurate, so order your normal size, regardless of whether you plan on wearing them with or without socks.

I've seen some reviews mention that they run narrow, but I don't agree. Compared to your typical canvas sneaker, they actually run wide and probably run wide compared to many other sneakers, as well. They have very ample toe room.

My 13yr-old son purchased these with his birthday money. We looked at the "known" brand, and these were about half the price, and with better reviews! He has not been disappointed at all. We did order a half size larger, based on the comments/feedback, and they fit great.

ordered a half size down as with most superstars and it fits fine. you can't remove the character from the shell toe, its fused on there. my only complaint is that the rubber feels strange, like its falling apart. after taking the shoes out of the box, my shirt was covered with white eraser shaving like pieces. after rubbing the midsole, my fingers got sticky and more of that stuff came off. i ended up scrubbing with reshoevn8er and the eraser shaving problem is gone, but it still has a little tack when touching it. the rest of the shoe is fine.
