Shoes look and feel great. I'm very happy with them, though I've already scuffed them up a bit from overuse - that should tell you how often I've been using them! I've been wearing New Balance cross-trainers for years. They've always been great. These hiking shoes continue that experience.

I bought these hoping for some additional ankle support. Though concerned about the fit and not trying them on, I matched the size of my NB cross-trainers, and hoped for the best. No surprise, they fit just fine.

Looking at them you can tell these are not the typical/traditional heavy hiking boots. They're more of a slightly stiffer high-top sport shoe. Like a sport shoe, they are much lighter than a more traditional boot. They do provide good ankle support, and have a little bit more cushioning than a sport shoe in the sole and ankles. The soles, though Vibram, are also more like a sneaker sole, but seem to provide a very good grip.

All in all, I like 'em.

I bought these slip-on shoes so I could easily slip them on and off during my 19 hour flight from New York to Singapore. In fact, they were the only shoes that I took with me on my three week trip. They proved to be very comfortable and easy to take off and put back on. I'm quite satisfied.
